Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to by using Confidante. Like the privacy policy, they are written to be read. If something here is unclear, email admin@zannostrading.com.
What this is
You give Confidante your trading history - a file exported from your broker, or a read-only connection to your brokerage account. It works out what happened in those trades, measured against the rules you say you trade by, and lets you talk to an AI coach about what it found. It is a way of looking at your own past trading.
What it is not
It is not investment advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, or to trade at all. The coach describes what your own record shows. It does not know what the market will do, it does not know your finances beyond the trades you gave it, and it is not a financial adviser. We are not a broker, a dealer, or a registered investment adviser, and we do not owe you a fiduciary duty.
The coach is an AI. It reads statistics computed from your trades and answers in plain language. It can be wrong: it can misread a figure, overstate a pattern, or describe a cause that is not there. Treat what it says as a prompt for your own judgement, not a substitute for it.
Every trading decision is yours. Whatever you do with your money after reading an analysis or a reply is your decision, and the results of it are yours.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. One account is for one person. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time from the profile page, and everything in it is deleted with it, as the privacy policy describes.
Your data and your brokers
Your trading history is yours. By giving it to us you let us store it and process it to provide the service - and for nothing else, as the privacy policy sets out.
A broker connection is read-only. We can see your history; we cannot place, change or cancel an order, and there is no path in this product that could. Connect only accounts you are entitled to connect. Brokers, and SnapTrade where a connection runs through it, have terms of their own that apply to that connection.
What we ask of you
- Use it for your own trading history, or history you have the right to use.
- Do not try to break into it, overload it, scrape it, take it apart, or get round a limit it puts on you.
- Do not resell it or pass off what it produces as advice from us.
- Do not use it for anything unlawful.
Accuracy and availability
This is an early product in use by a small number of traders. Reading a broker’s file can go wrong, and where we know a result is uncertain the product says so; where we do not know, it cannot. Findings depend on the data you gave and the rules you set, and change when either does.
We may change the product, add limits to it (file sizes, how often an analysis can run), pause it or stop it. We do not promise that it will be available at any particular time.
Fees
It is free today. If that changes we will say so in the app before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Ownership
Your data stays yours. The service, its software and its text are ours. What the coach writes in reply to you is yours to keep and use.
Ending things
You can leave whenever you like by deleting your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people’s data at risk, with notice where that is reasonable. When an account is closed, its data is deleted as the privacy policy describes.
No warranties
The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including that it is accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or free of errors or interruptions - to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Zannos Trading LLC is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage arising from the service or from anything the coach says. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is so, they apply as far as that law allows.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
